What is A2 Milk?
In layman’s terms A2 is a beta-casein protein in the milk that makes milk healthy ,nutritious and easy to digest. Or to put it simply, it is a particular character in some cow breeds that makes the milk qualitatively superior to what you have been drinking!
Most cows especially the cross bred ones either produce both A1 and A2 milk or perhaps only A1 protein milk. A1 protein has adverse effects on our digestive systems and can cause bloating, skin breakouts and can be detrimental to our Gut health.

- We have a breed of Gir and Sahiwal cows that are known for their A2 milk. Our milk is certified A2 milk .
- Back2Basics milk is fresh & unpasteurized. It is first chilled and then packed for distribution. Our milk is delivered within 2 to 3 hours of milking.
- Our priority is the health of our Gir and Sahiwal Cows, we feed them 100% natural fodder prepared along with seasonal green fodder grown in-house at our farms.
- Their daily feed consists of natural herbs and supplements like Ashwagandha, Giloi, Churi, Chokar, Bilona and Daliya. This ensures that their diet is rich in minerals and vitamins.
- We believe that our happy cows are the reason for our superior quality fresh A2 milk.
- Our milk is 100% Natural and Pure. We don’t inject any sort of antibiotics or hormones to increase milk production. We are a small farm and are content with just catering to our Back2Basics family all of whom are aware and value the availability of our A2 milk at their door step every morning.
- At our Back2Baiscs farm cows move around freely and their calves are given priority in milking.
- We remain committed to raising the cows using ayurvedic principles while feeding them, massaging them with tea tree oil and using Ayurveda to heal them too.
